Access Ramps
BOAT RAMPS
The usage of ramps are not only limited to the activities such as loading of goods and helping the disabled , but also in enabling boats to move to and from the water to the shore , with the help of boat ramps.
Boat ramps are also used in launching boats into their undercarriage. These boat ramps are mostly made of concrete, steel or wood and in many cases, their usage is limited by the tides.
Nowadays many docks are equipped with multiple boat ramps which facilitate the easy movement of several boats at a time and reduce congestion at the bay. It is essential to make sure that the boat does not block the ramp, causing hindrance to fellow boats and limiting the use of the ramp only for getting in and out of the waters and not for any maintenance work. Boat ramps ensure the proper docking of boats and are essential to regulate the flow of traffic at the bay.
